In re Cotton Yarn Antitrust Litigation, Civil Action No. 1:04MDL1622 (M.D. N.C.)

KSG serves as interim co-lead counsel for the class in an antitrust action on behalf of direct purchasers of cotton yarn (including open-end and air jet cotton and polycotton yarn) from defendants during the period from January 1, 1999 to February 11, 2004. Plaintiffs allege that class members paid more for cotton yarn as a result of a conspiracy to fix prices of such cotton yarn by defendants, which include Parkdale America, LLC, Parkdale Mills, Inc., Frontier Spinning Mills, Inc., Frontier Spinning Mills, L.L.C., Frontier, Inc., Avondale Mills, Inc., and Avondale Incorporate. A proposed partial settlement totaling $7.8 million with Parkdale America and Parkdale Mills has been submitted to the Court for final approval. The hearing on final approval of the settlement was held before the Honorable James A. Beatty, Jr. on February 14, 2006. A copy of the Court’s Order granting final approval is available below.
