KSG Investigates Price Gouging by Air Methods

KSG is investigating claims for a class action lawsuit against Air Methods and its parent company Rocky Mountains LLC. We want to help consumers who have suffered financially from Air Methods’ alleged price gouging strategies.

Air Methods is a for-profit emergency helicopter medical transportation provider which has allegedly benefited from price gouging strategies. Although the company provides quick access to patients – especially in rural areas – to medical facilities, it has allegedly failed to charge reasonable rates to those patients. Each flight can cost anywhere from five thousand dollars to nearly fifty thousand dollars. According to Research 360, an independent research firm, the average cost of a bill from Air Methods increased from an average of $13,198 in 2007 to $40,766 in 2014. During this period, the company’s net income tripled from $27.5 million to $99.4 million. Unfortunately, the benefits have not trickled down to the consumers. Both insured and uninsured consumers have been burdened with excessive financial fees for services in their most vulnerable moments. In other words, Air Methods’ alleged price gouging has profited its investors handsomely at the expense of its customers.

If you or someone you know received a bill from Air Methods for medical transportation services, please contact us. You may be eligible for reparations due to Air Methods’ alleged price gouging strategies.  All initial consultations are free of charge.
