KSG Investigates Exploding Pressure Cookers

Kohn, Swift & Graf, P.C. is investigating claims for a class action lawsuit against various manufacturers for allegedly manufacturing, marketing, and selling exploding pressure cookers.

According to various online complaints, consumers have purchased exploding pressure cookers manufactured by companies, such as Tristar, Maxi-Matic, Fagor America, Tabletops Unlimited, and Cuisinart.  KSG’s investigation, however, is not limited to these manufacturers.  We believe other manufacturers may be placing exploding pressure cookers into the stream of commerce.

It has been reported that a defect in these pressure cookers can cause food to explode out when the lid is opened.  As such, consumers are at risk of serious burns from the flying food.  However, these unsafe exploding pressure cookers continue to be sold in the market to unknowing consumers.

The exploding pressure cookers may contain a faulty pressure release valve that prompts the consumer to open the lids of the pressure cookers before they should.  When the consumer opens the lid at the improper time, the pressure cooker is susceptible of exploding and shooting food out onto consumers themselves and their kitchens.

If you or someone you know has one of the Exploding Pressure Cookers from any of the above-listed companies (or any other company), please contact us.  All initial consultations are free of charge.
