September 12, 2018- Kohn, Swift & Graf, P.C. is currently investigating NuWave LLC for the manufacture of allegedly defective Countertop Infrared Ovens.
NuWave Oven Problems
The NuWave Oven Pro and NuWave Oven Pro Plus come with a Power Dome, which the company advertises as “durable” and “shatter resistant.” However, several consumers have complained of cracking in the plastic cover within a year of purchase. It is alleged that the company is aware of this defect, but continues to sell the Ovens and tout their purported benefits.
The alleged defects in the NuWave Ovens force consumers to replace the product at their expense if they want to continue using their NuWave Ovens. When consumers complain to NuWave about the Oven Problems, they are told one of three things: replacements aren’t available, they would have to pay extra for a “Power Dome” replacement, or they would have to pay large amounts in shipping and handling fees to receive the replacement. It has also been alleged that consumers have even been hoodwinked into paying more to upgrade to NuWave’s newer and more expensive Power Dome, which NuWave represents as “virtually indestructible.” Yet, an Oven that cracks within a year of purchase is far from “indestructible.”
If you or someone you know purchased a NuWave Oven Pro or NuWave Oven Pro Plus and has experienced a broken plastic dome cover, please contact us. All consultations are free of charge. You may be eligible to be included in a Class Action Lawsuit for NuWave Ovens.
