Allura Siding Advertises Durability, Customers Disagree

March 15, 2019- Kohn, Swift & Graf, P.C. is currently investigating Plycem USA and Elementia USA for allegedly marketing Allura Fiber Cement Siding as being durable and lasting for 50 years when in fact, the siding is defective and requires repair and replacement within the first five years.

Allura Siding Disappoints Customers and Violates Building Codes

The companies’ marketing represents that the siding meets applicable building codes and industry standards; however, it has been further alleged that the siding violates building codes and industry standards for performance and weather resistance.

Consumers have reported cracking, breaking, and deterioration of the siding as early as 3 years after the siding was installed. It has also been alleged that the companies are aware of the widespread damage caused by their defective siding, but the remedy offered for repair is entirely insufficient.
