April 12, 2019- Kohn, Swift, and Graf is investigating six different Sharp Microwaves models, ranging in price from $1,000-1,700, for allegedly catching fire and potentially causing serious damage to homes and kitchens.
Defective Sharp Microwaves knowingly Being Sold
It has been alleged that the Sharp microwaves have a defective element that can cause the microwave to easily overheat in as little as 30 seconds, leading to smoke, and fire scorching the microwave drawer, causing ultimate failure of the product. Sharp has been aware of this defect and yet still marketed and sold the pricey microwaves to consumers. Moreover, when consumers requested a replacement Sharp knowingly replaced the microwave with a similar style that included a faulty part and left them at risk for a potential fire and property damage, without warning.
If you or someone you know purchased a Sharp microwave with model numbers SMD2470AH, SMD2470AS, SMD3070AS, SMD2480CS, KB6524PS, and KB6525PS, please contact us. All consultations are free of charge. You may be eligible to be included in a Class Action Lawsuit.
