Apple Selling Customers Information for Profit

June 6, 2019- Kohn, Swift, & Graf, P.C. is investigating Apple, Inc. for selling personal information of millions of it’s customers. Apple claims “what happens on your iPhone, stays on your iPhone“, however recent claims allege the opposite.

Apple Music Preferences isn’t all that’s being Sold

Apple is not only disclosing the musical preferences, it is also selling the names and home addresses of it’s customers to third party companies for a profit. These third parties use that information to build a profile using this information, and other collected data to target customers based on their personal demographics such as income, age, and preferences. Furthermore, these third parties then resell these lists to various additional companies for solicitation, all without the consent or awareness of Apple customers. This violation of privacy for profit, directly affects customers through email spamming, unwanted mailings, and sales calls.
