Wawa Announces Payment Card Data Breach

Kohn, Swift & Graf is investigating Wawa for a reported data breach that exposed its customers’ payment card information. Wawa is a convenience store chain with stores in Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, New Jersey, Florida, and the District of Columbia.

On December 19, 2019, Wawa revealed that it had discovered a data breach regarding its customers’ payment card information. The breach began on March 4, 2019, and Wawa claims to have contained it by December 12, 2019. Any credit or debit cards used at Wawa stores or gas pumps since March 4th have potentially been affected. The data breach exposed card numbers, expiration dates, and cardholder names.
