CASE OVERVIEW
Kohn, Swift & Graf, P.C. has filed a lawsuit in federal court in Philadelphia on behalf of people who were injured when the Philadelphia Police responded to peaceful protests on and near the Vine Street Expressway on June 1, 2020, with what is alleged to have been unreasonable and excessive force. Click here to view a copy of the complaint.
The lawsuit alleges that Philadelphia officials authorized, ordered, and ratified the use of tear gas, pepper-spray, and projectiles on people peacefully protesting for racial justice and against the killings of African Americans by police, in violation of the protestors’ constitutional rights and state law.
