Strauss v. Crédit Lyonnais, S.A., CV-06-0702 (CPS) (KAM) (E.D.N.Y.) – Stephen H. Schwartz serves as Litigation Counsel for the plaintiffs, United States citizens, their estates, survivors and heirs who were victims of terrorist attacks in Israel in this action currently before the Honorable Dora Lizette Irizarry. The claims are brought under the Anti-Terrorism Act and seek treble damages from Crédit Lyonnais, S.A., a subsidiary of Crédit Agricole. The complaint alleges that Crédit Lyonnais provided financial services to CBSP, a Specially Designated Global Terrorist that allegedly transfers funds to HAMAS-controlled charities in the Palestinian-controlled territories and that HAMAS was responsible for attacks set forth in the complaint. A motion for summary judgment was denied and the litigation is ongoing.
