Kohn Swift Hosts Forum of International Human Rights Lawyers and Advocates

Robert Swift, senior member of Kohn Swift & Graf, hosted a forum on human rights with participants from fifteen countries including human rights lawyers, investigators, and NGO professionals in Philadelphia on November 8, 2024. The participants were guests of the World Affairs Council of Philadelphia. Swift discussed litigation techniques he used in his successes in the Ferdinand E. Marcos Human Rights Litigation, 103 F.3d 1467 (9th Cir. 1994) and WWII Holocaust litigation against European banks, insurance companies and corporations which resulted in the recovery and distribution of compensation to human rights victims. Participants shared the unique challenges and scenarios they faced in human rights litigation in their respective countries from combating trafficking to prosecuting dictators and brainstormed solutions. Kohn Swift is proud to collaborate with the World Affairs Council of Philadelphia to host events that further the cause of human rights advocacy around the world.
