February 24, 2020 – Kohn, Swift & Graf, P.C. has launched an investigation into the company Evenflo for dangerous car seats.
Information from several different reports have shown that Evenflo had knowledge since 2008 that their Big Kid Booster seat was not suitable for children under forty pounds and four years of age. The reports have also concluded that the booster seat did not reduce the risk of serious harm during a car accident. Featured advertisements like “side impact tested” showed deceptive when the reports sited possible damage to the child if the vehicle is impacted on the door sides.
The reports are concerning to parents because Evenflo markets their Big Kid Booster seats as “the best way to minimize inquires to your child”. Evenflo also marketed the Big Kid Booster seat to be safe for children who weight 30 pounds.
