Taste of the Wild Dog Food Investigation

September 11, 2018- Kohn, Swift & Graf, P.C. is currently investigating Taste of the Wild dog food for the manufacture and distribution of products that are contaminated with heavy metals, pesticides, and other harmful chemicals.

Taste of the Wild

Diamond Pet Foods, the sole manufacturer and distributor of Taste of the Wild products, failed to fully disclose the presence of contaminates harmful to animals. The company engaged in deceptive marketing practices by advertising the dog food as including natural ingredients, high quality nutrition, and being “based on your pet’s ancestral diet.” Testing discovered that Taste of the Wild products include heavy metals such as arsenic, lead, mercury, and cadmium, as well as pesticides, acrylamide, and BPA.

Health conditions that can develop as a result of these pet food contaminates have been reported as the following: lethargy, vomiting, diarrhea, gastrointestinal damage, nerve damage, neurological side effects, seizures, heart problems, cancers, and even death. It has been further alleged that Diamond Pet Foods knew about the contaminates in their products, but continued to engage in false advertising in an attempt to increase their profits.
