August 10, 2018- Kohn, Swift & Graf, P.C.’s lawsuit against Samsung for a defective icemaker was recently featured on WCPO-TV’s “9 on your side” segment.

Noted in the segment, which is featured here, countless Samsung customers have been complaining that their icemaker freezes up and is unable to produce ice. Customers also experienced water leakage from the ice house to below the refrigerator crisper trays.

Upon an investigation conducted by the attorneys at KS&G, a complaint was filed in the District Court of New Jersey, and the case is captioned: Bianchi v. Samsung Electronics America, Inc., District of New Jersey, Civil Case No. 2:17-cv-01263. A copy of the Class Action Complaint can be found here.

Updates and More

Our case remains ongoing. On April 24, 2018, Samsung filed a motion to dismiss the case. We filed an opposition to Samsung’s motion to dismiss. Now, we await the Court’s ruling on whether the case will be able to proceed forward. At this time, we have no timetable on when the Court will make its ruling.
