February 1, 2019- In a recent article from The Mercury News, Americans received 26.3 Billion robocalls just last year alone. That number is expected to increase.
One report stated that up to half of all cellphone calls in 2019 could be spam, leading many people to not answer their phones altogether.
This has prompted Federal Regulators to step in and create laws against these robocalls. They issue massive fines, and regulations on new technology used to stop the robocalls.
Kohn, Swift, & Graf, P.C. has been working to help consumers who have had their rights violated by these unwanted callers and has been educating the public about their protections under the TCPA (Telephone Consumer Protection Act).
